Gerber Rest Easy Spoon {Review}

Here it is in a nutshell: this baby spoon is so amazing that we're devoting an entire post to this spoon, which you can buy in a pack of five for just $2.99. They are that good!

We started feeding L purees right around five and a half months. No one ever told me that some spoons were easier to use (and created less of a mess) than others. We purchased several sets of spoons with which to feed her, and honestly our purchases were based mostly on brand, looks and what our local store happened to carry. And then a friend gave me an extra pack of Gerber Rest Easy spoons she had laying around. Since then, it's the only kind we use.

Why are these spoons so darn special?

The spoon has a flattened spatula-like tip. This makes it so easy to just scoop up any dribble around your baby's mouth, making meal time a lot less messy. Doing this with a traditional curved spoon is challenging.

The spoon is designed so it never rests on the table. I love this feature! If you need to put the spoon down for a minute, the part that goes into your baby's mouth doesn't touch the table (or whatever surface you've placed it on), keeping it clean for your little one.

You can find the Gerber Rest Easy spoons at many grocery stores or retailers, including Target. The spoons are sold in a pack of five for $2.99.

  1. what a great idea - I am so tired fishing for silverware in the baby's food.

  2. that's a great spoon. I'm going to have to get one for my son!

  3. That looks like a great spoon! I will need to pick a few up for my pregnant friends!

  4. What a simple design fix! I love it!

  5. I definitely could have used one of these the other day while feeding my granddaughter.
